Betty Jean Schneider, 79, of Allegan, MI passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at her home. Born October 18, 1939 in Allegan, she was the daughter of the late Margaret (Riksen) Schneider and Kenneth Hendrixson. Betty enjoyed playing bingo and card games, especially poker. She loved fishing and watching western programs on television. Betty also like to spend time crafting and building model cars. She is survived by her brother, Albert (Cathy) Schneider; her sisters, Elaine Schneider, Ruth Schneider and Lorna Russell; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Bill Snyder, Bob Schneider, Henry Schneider, Frank Schneider, George Schneider, Martha Snyder and Barb Walker. A graveside service will take place Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Maplewood Cemetery, Hopkins Township at 1:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Michigan Great Lakes Chapter, 200 Turwill Lane Suite 6, Kalamazoo, MI 49006.
