of Kalamazoo, formerly of Monterey Twp., died Monday, November 25, 2013, at the Borgess Hospital. Mrs. Emmons was born November 5, 1928, in Marne, the daughter of Troy and Dorothy (Mattison) Clawson. Betty graduated from the Allegan High School in 1946. Surviving are her 2 children; Richard and Gloria Emmons, Kim and George Jones, the greatest joy of her life were her 4 grandchildren, Jonathan, Christopher, Chelsey and Brittany, 2 sisters; Dorothy Miller and Lois Hayes, many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and her brother, Lloyd Clawson. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, November 29, 2013, from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11 am. Pastor Rick Fritz will officiate. Interment in Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Twp. Memorials may be made to the Monterey Center United Methodist Church.
