89, of Plainwell, died Thursday, May 9, 2013 at Life Care Center of Plainwell. She was born in Mentha, Michigan, May 4, 1924, the daughter of Raymond and Catherine (Neeson) Blanchard. Betty was a Home Maker all her life. She and her husband Don were known for doing everything together as a couple. Betty loved crafts. She also loved being outdoors and would rather be there than anywhere else. Betty is survived by her daughter Linda (Clint) Bennison; her grandchildren: Kenneth, Chris, J.R., Michelle; her great-grandchildren: Amanda, Kimberly; her sisters: Rosemary Beery, Mary Ellen Himmelein, Esther (Norm) Zimmerman; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Everett Shaff; her daughter Sandra Meyer; her granddaughter Tammy; and her sister Dorothy Kisinger. An inurnment will take place for Don and Betty at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan. Arrangements are being made by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
