Bryan, Texas, formerly of Allegan, died Wednesday, October 21, 2009 in Texas. Ben was born April 12, 1974 in Plainwell, the son of Gary and Mary (Clapper) McKenzie. He was a graduate of Allegan High School, class of 1992 and had served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Surviving are 1 son, Blain G. McKenzie of Texas; father, Gary McKenzie of Hillman; mother and stepfather, Mary and Tom Hudson of Allegan; 1 brother, Thomas Hudson, Jr. of Grand Rapids; 3 sisters, Rachel McKenzie of Allegan, Robin and Art Souza of Kansas and Karen and John Hettinger of Otsego; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may meet with the family from 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, until time of service at 1 p.m. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
