Hopkins Twp., MI, died Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo. Mr. Laseur was born October 1, 1933 in Dowagiac, the son of Gerrit and Esther (Nichols) Laseur. He had served in the Michigan National Guard, retiring after 32 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Barbara (VanDuine); 6 children, Gerrit and Joette Laseur, Mark Laseur, Michael and Kathy Laseur, Dawn Laseur, Jason Laseur and Jesse Laseur; 4 grandchildren, Jeff, Genesis, Leyah and Jesse; 1 sister, Phyllis McGrew. Friends may meet with the family from 6 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday. Pastor Lavern Lussenden officiating. Interment Tuesday, June 2, at 11 a.m. at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI.
