of Allegan, died Monday, October 15, 2012, at Ely Manor. Beatrice, the daughter of Jesse and Laura (Hale) Walker, was born March 19, 1921 in Allegan, to which she was a lifelong resident. She was employed by General Telephone for 43 years. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Allegan, a member of Business and Professional Women, a volunteer at Allegan General Hospital and graduated from Allegan High School in 1938. Surviving are her children: James and Judy Wendt, Delores and Terry Blacklock, Alan and Kelly Wendt; her grandchildren: Jana and Steve Tibbitts, Jennifer and Mark Heidel, Marcie and Jim Fredricks, Matthew Wendt, Chad Wendt Atkins; great-grandchildren: Julie and Nathan Tibbitts, Amy and Stephanie Heidel, Kori and Emily Fredricks, Mason Wendt; Her step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren: Chris Blacklock, Angela (Jim), Chloe, and Alison Scudder, Marshall and Justin Blacklock. She was preceded in death by her husband Bert, her son Fred and her seven brothers and sisters. Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 10-12 P.M., with the funeral service at 12 P.M. at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
