Allegan, MI, died Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2003 at her home. Mrs. Schweikert was born Sept. 4, 1927 in Allegan, the daughter of Lester and Gertrude (Coffey) White. She was a graduate of Allegan High School, class of 1945. She attended First Presbyterian Church in Allegan and was very active and a long-time member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 89, serving as Unit President of Allegan and District President, 4th District. She worked as a sales clerk in a number of stores, working many years at the U.S. Navy Exchange, retiring when her husband retired from the Navy in 1971. She then enjoyed being a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Ross; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, MI Monday at 2 p.m. Please meet in the cortege area at Ft. Custer at 1:45 p.m. Monday. Pastor Joseph Phipps officiating.
