Obituary

Barbara B. Golm 2-17-1935 - 9-7-2026: Our hearts are heavy as we share the passing of our dear wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She was a beautiful example of what it means to be a loving wife, devoted mother, and faithful child of God.

She was patient, spunky, compassionate, creative, and deeply devoted to her family. She had a wonderful beautiful creative spirit and loved painting, refinishing antique furniture, and even decoupage back in the day. She had a gift for seeing the beauty and possibility in things and making them her own.

She also loved to golf and had a competitive streak that made the game all the more fun. One of the family’s favorite stories is the remarkable day when she and her husband, Bob, each got a hole-in-one—a memory that seemed perfectly fitting for two people who shared both life and a little friendly competition.

Above all, she loved her family. Through the years, she had the joy of watching that family grow through generations, and she treasured her role as mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. Her patience, compassion, humor, creativity, and love leave us with countless memories to cherish.

Her faith was evident in the way she lived her life and cared for those around her. She will be missed more than words can say.

Yet even in our sadness, we have the incredible comfort of knowing where she is. She is at peace, safe in the arms of her Savior, Jesus. What a blessing it is to know that this goodbye is not forever.

Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” — John 11:25

We will miss her dearly, cherish the memories she gave us, and thank God for the blessing she was to our family. Until we see you again!

She was preceded in death by her parents George and Mary Bobb and siblings Larry (Hilda) Bobb, Jean (Harold) Davis and Patricia (Joe) Wilhite and survived by her husband of 70 years, Robert along with her children Robert (Denise) Golm, Cathrine (Stephen) Adamczyk, Curtis (Janet) Golm, and her favorite Brian Golm as well as 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
