Barbara Jane Morris, 69 of Holland, while being surrounded by her loving family, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, November 28, 2017. Barb was born in Detroit, Michigan on September 4, 1948, the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Calleja) Gauci. She spent her days working in customer service for a local insurance agency and her nights and weekends with her family and friends, creating cherished memories. Barb had a wonderful and loving nature and made people feel comfortable around her. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed being with her church family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a great friend to many. Her gentleness and genuineness will be greatly missed. Barb leaves behind her husband of 25 years, Lyle, her children, Tracie (Kevin) Mackey, Jenni (Sean) Steele, Jennifer (Aaron) Dunning, and Jaime (Travis) Spreitzer; her grandchildren, Hayley and Cameron Mackey, Sydney Keizer, Dayna Crough, Frannie and Sam Steele, Adam and Rowan Dunning, Madelynn, Eliza and Nadia Spreitzer; her siblings, Theresa Frayer, Paul Gauci, and Christina (George) Pfeiffer; her nieces and nephews, Tom (Janet) Frayer, Karen (Ron) Brotherton and Max Pfeiffer; and her great-nieces, Natalie and Laine Brotherton. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Gauci. The family will meet with friends on Monday, December 4, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church (77 W 32nd Street, Holland, MI 49423) from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, where the funeral service will take place immediately following, Pastor Ryan Winningham officiating. Donations may be made in Barb's name to the church or to Hospice of Holland (270 Hoover Blvd., Holland, MI 49423). Interment at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Township.
