of Allegan, died Saturday, June 19, 2010, at the Allegan County Medical Care Community. Maxine was born October 18, 1917, in Allegan, the daughter of John and Beatrice (Perrigo) Cook. She worked in the Allegan area all of her life, mostly as a store clerk at several businesses, including, Home Crest Hardware, TruHeat, the Grange Store, and McGowans. Surviving are her son, Jack and Susie Nash of Allegan, 4 grandchildren, Josh and Deann Nash, Tonya Nash, Kelly and Loren Fairbotham, and Challice and David Dixon, 8 great grandchildren; Jordan, Chandler, Joseph, Austin, Landan, Jesse, Arianna and Connor, 3 nieces; Bobbie Elliott, Janie Cernan, and Rinda Patton, 2 nephews; Mike and Ed Jones. Maxine was preceded in death by her sister, Irene Jones and her nephew, Pat Jones. Friends may meet with the family from 11 am on Tuesday until service time at 12 noon, where a Celebration of Maxine's Life will be held, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Interment Oakwood Cemetery, Allegan. Memorials may be made to the Allegan County Medical Care Community, Alzheimer's Unit.
