Gobles, formerly of Allegan, died Sunday, May 7, 2006 at Lakeview Continuing Care Center, Lawton. Mrs. Brown was born October 24, 1926 in Allegan, the daughter of James "Earl" and Nellie (Prescott) Whisler. She was a 1943 graduate of Allegan High School. Surviving are 2 children and their spouses, Linda and Charles Dorr of Lawrence and Doug and Kathie Brown of Gobles; 6 grandchildren, Charlie Dorr, Darcy (Craig) Green, Abbey Dorr, Wyatt (Michelle) Brown, Steve Brown and Stephanie Brown; 1 great grandson, Cameron; 1 brother and his wife, Max and JoAnn Whisler and 1 sister, Doris Adams, all of Allegan; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman, in 1997, 2 brothers, Lyle and Bernith, and 1 sister, Beatrice Myers. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. Pastor Gail Pike officiating. Interment Robinson Cemetery, Bloomingdale Twp. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Assoc.
