of Portage, Passed away at her home Monday, October 10, 2011. Age 57 years. She was born September 1, 1954, the daughter of Stanley and Augusta (Haefner) Brokus. She graduated from Allegan High School. She then attended Western Michigan University where she received her Bachelors Degree in Commercial Design. She also attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College where she received her Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene and Nursing. She was a member of the Kalamazoo Valley Blues Association. She enjoyed gardening and photography. She was married to David Hunt on July 29, 1995; he survives her. Also surviving are her mother, Augusta Brokus of Allegan; three sisters, Teresa (John) Baerman of Zeeland, Debbie Brokus of Kalamazoo and Pattie (Mark) Oisten of Allegan; one brother, Ric (Cindy) Brokus of Allegan; her mother-in-law, Nancy Hunt of Adrian; six brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews; and Mojo. She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley Brokus. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Following the visitation friends and family are invited to an open house at the 411 Club, 411 N. Westnedge in Kalamazoo.
