Allegan, MI, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, October 28, 2005 at Spectrum Health Downtown Campus, Grand Rapids, MI. Aurora was born Sept. 22, 1943 in Allegan, the daughter of Burke and Genevieve (Sakalauskas) Hazelrigg. She had been employed as rural mail carrier for the U.S. Post Office for 30 years, retiring in 1999. She was a member of Allegan First Baptist Church where she taught the Senior High Girl's Sunday School Class. She also attended Ganges Baptist Church and was involved in their ministry. She made several trips with Campus Crusade for Christ to Russia, Romania, Kenya, and Siberia to teach the nationals on religion and ethics. Surviving are her husband, Eugene; 3 sons, Blair (Charity) Hough of Caseville, Blaque (Cari) Hough of Holland, and W. Seth Hough of Allegan; 6 grandchildren; father, Burke (Nora) Hazelrigg of Texas; brother, Meredith (Junko) Hazelrigg of Allegan; several nieces and nephews. Aurora was preceded in death by her mother in 1993 and brother, Brian, in 1995. There will be no visitation. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, at the First Baptist Church, Allegan. Pastors Raymond Mayhew, Thomas Case, and Alan Vierkant officiating. Interment Hudson Corners Cemetery, Allegan Twp. Contributions may be made to the International School Project of Campus Crusade for Christ.
