Obituary

Arthur W. Henry, 73 of Allegan, died Saturday, January 15, 2005 at his home. Mr. Henry was born May 28, 1931 in Ohio the son of Arthur and Doris (Cole) Henry, Sr. He was a farmer and had served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He had been a member of the Hopkins VFW Post #7571 and the Allegan American Legion Post #89. Surviving are 5 children, Larry Fretwell of Wayland, Paulette Fuller of Hopkins, Deborah & Larry Washburn of Cadillac, Charlotte & Ed Sevigny of Wayland, Joe Henry of Allegan; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Lucille Hulbert of Kalamazoo, Alice Hale of Allegan, Patricia Zank of Alma; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula; 1 daughter-in-law, Robin; 1 great granddaughter, Courtney; 3 brothers, Maynard, Alfred and Daniel; 1 sister, Darlene. The family will receive friends Monday from 4-7 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, where services will be held Tuesday 1:00 pm. Pastor Bernie Blair and Mr. Darwin Henry officiating. Interment Miner Cemetery, Watson Township. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital.
