Obituary

age 82, of Hamilton, died Thursday, November 14, 2013 at his home. He was born on June 23, 1931 in Byron Center, Michigan, the son of Arthur and Mary (Nederveld) Kragt. Arnold was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean War. He worked for Hamilton Farm Bureau for twenty-two years; and at Hamilton Block for ten years. Arnold was a life member of the Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church. Arnold and his wife grew produce and sold it in Holland at the farmers market. What they didn't sell was given to family and friends. Arnold enjoyed hunting, fishing, and admiring God's Creation. Growing things was his passion. Arnold is survived by his children: Calvin (Pat) Kragt, Gale (Dawn) Kragt, Curtis (Elda) Kragt, Sue (Jeff) DeKorte; his ten grandchildren; and his two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by wife Hilda; and his sisters Fern and Nora. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church, Hamilton, for the visitation from 2-4:00 P.M. and 6-8:00 P.M., where the Funeral will also be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Mark Inman will be officiating. Interment will be at Salem Township Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to: Diamond Springs Wesleyan Church, 3562 136th Avenue, Hamilton, Michigan 49419. Arrangements are being made by Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel.
