Arlyne L. Chappell, 73 of Allegan, died Monday, January 21, 2002 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Chappell was born June 21, 1928 in Kalamazoo, MI the daughter of John and Evelyn (Morrison) Leipzig. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Surviving are 3 children; Susan Ross and her fiancAC., Larry Cimino of Chicago, Thomas Chappell of Allegan, Tina-Marie & Richard Cook of Holland, 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 1 brother and 2 sisters, John & Carol Leipzig, Marilyn & Ron Schrepper, Josephine & Jack Nuyen all of Kalamazoo, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald in 1989, a grandson, Jeremy Cook in 1991, and a daughter, Judith Dawson in 1996. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where a rosary will be recited Wednesday 6:30pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday 11:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Jerome M. Heyman, O.S.A., celebrant. Interment in the Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brain Tumor Foundation, (in memory of Gerald Chappell), or the Michigan SIDS Alliance, (in memory of Jeremy Cook).
