Arline Ruth Hiscock, 94 of Allegan, Michigan, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Wings Home in Allegan, Michigan. She was the daughter of the late Martin and Clarabelle (Rice) Sebright and the wife of the late Robert Merle Hiscock. Arline and Robert were married on November 20, 1946 and were fortunate enough to be married for 59 years before Robert's passing in 2005. Arline lived a full and vibrant life, raising five children and providing a loving and nurturing home. Not only did she do an amazing job being a homemaker, but in 1967 she took over the ambulance business from local funeral homes, starting out with a couple of station wagons, and turned it into the Allegan Ambulance Service which she operated for 23 years. She learned CPR and first aid and went taught many local citizens, police officers and firefighters these lifesaving techniques through the American Red Cross. Arline was also a process server and constable for Allegan County, along with serving as president and officer for the Allegan Business and Professional Women; officer and board member of Allegan Dollars for Scholars; and officer and member of the Allegan Elks. Needless to say, she was an extremely busy woman who loved to be involved in her community. In her free time, Arline enjoyed TOPPS, Curves, water aerobics and camping. Probably her favorite thing to do though, was spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her generous spirit and love of others made her extremely well-liked and respected. Her loving nature will live on in the hearts of her family and friends and all the lives she touched. Arline is survived by her children, Gwen (Norman) Arndt, Diane (Danny) Barrett, Steven (Julie) Hiscock, David (Susan) Hiscock and Georgia (Bruce McCormick) Hiscock; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; her 6 siblings, Barbara Graham, Jim (Avis) Sebright, Don (Pat) Sebright, Lyle (Fran) Sebright, Susan (Clif) Tyler and Brenda (David) Brant; her brother-in-law, Elton (Rachel) Hiscock; along with many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Arline's name to the American Red Cross (5640 Venture Ct., Kalamazoo, MI 49009), Dollars for Scholars (allegan.dollarsforscholars.org, P.O. Box 8, Allegan, MI 49010) or the Wings Home (530 Linn St., Allegan, MI 49010). A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later time. Service Details.
