Arlene Kathryn Blank, 76 of Hopkins, Michigan, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Arlene was born November 7, 1942 in Dorr, Michigan, the daughter of the late Floyd and Agnes (Wycoff) Schaendorf and the wife of Frank Blank. Arlene had a big heart and truly enjoyed knitting numerous scarves and hats that she provided to charity organizations. In her spare time, she loved to garden and was known to be an avid watcher of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Being a loving and caring grandmother, some of her favorite moments were spent with her grandchildren. Arlene is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Frank; her son, John Blank and wife Marcy Hazen, and her daughter, Karyn Blank; three grandchildren, Zachary J. Blank, Logan F. Blank and Briana B. Cronk; her brothers, William Schaendorf and Robert (Linda) Schaendorf; along with many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Schaendorf and her sister-in-law, Norma Schaendorf. Friends may meet with the family at Gorden Funeral Residence, Hopkins Chapel, on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM with the rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held at Gorden's Hopkins Chapel on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Memorial donations may be made in Arlene's name to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Foundation. Burial to follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Hopkins Township. Service Details.
