Trowbridge Twp., Allegan, MI, died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at her home. Mrs. Woodhams was born October 16, 1928 in Allegan, the daughter of Leon and Ivy (Pryor) Counterman. She was a 1946 graduate of Allegan High School and had been employed as a nurses' aide at the Allegan General Hospital from 1942-1948. Surviving are 4 children, Rev. Kenneth and Capie Woodhams of Oklahoma, Carleen and Morris French, Ben and Sue Woodhams and Bill Woodhams, all of Allegan; 12 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Art and Nancy Counterman of Martin, 3 sisters, Lois and Leonard Bush, Leah Janke and Margaret Edwards, all of Allegan; 2 sisters-in-law, Lorraine Steines of Wayland and Maxine Woodhams of Allegan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlton, in 2006 and 2 sisters, Betty Hewitt and Earline Wiley. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Graveside services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Twp. Pastor Gail Pike officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Merson Church.
