Andrew G. Gavrun, Jr., of Allegan, Michigan entered into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born on April 14, 1930 to the late Andrew, Sr. and Margaret (Sharp) Gavrun in Litchfield, Illinois. Andrew was preceded in death by his parents, his brother John Gavrun and his sister Charlotte Snyder. He married Gloria Ann (Cerbin) on November 25, 1950; they just celebrated seventy wonderful years of marriage.
Andy is survived by his wife, Gloria; six children, Robert Gavrun, Rose Ann (Stuart) Wendt, Andrew, III (Deborah) Gavrun, Glory Ann (Alan) Dean, Peter (Michelle) Gavrun and Angela (Brian) Furlotte; eighteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Andy's avid interest as a young man, even before marriage, had been in aviation and the engines that propelled the mighty planes developed during and after World War II. Seeing the new technologies and wanting to a be part of them he entered and then graduated in 1949 from the Chicago Civil Aeronautics Program in engine repair. His other interests included boating, scuba diving, bowling and, in his spare time, a little writing of poems.
A dedicated hard worker was reflected in Andy's ownership of Safe-T-Fence and STF Satellites, with the exceptional and personal way he treated and served his customers since 1955.
Private funeral services, with immediate family, is planned with burial at Blessed Sacrament Cemetery, Allegan. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in Andrew's name to Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn Street, Allegan, Michigan. Service Details. Interment
