85, of Allegan, died Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods in Byron Center, Michigan. Amy was born in Reed City, Michigan, the daughter of William and Esther (Lundborg) Giese. Amy was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Allegan, Michigan. She was a nurse at the Grand Rapids Home for Vets for 28 years. Amy is survived by her children: Fred and Rene Lewis; her six grandchildren: Mark (Nicole Elett) Lewis, Chad (Katie Menefee) Lewis, Shawn (Onna Kroft) Lewis, Melissa (Rick) McLoud, Sheri (Clifton) Evans, Shawnee (Cori Bacon) Headworth; her ten great-grandchildren: Ashley, Trista, Mark Allen, Troy, Leah, Clare, Destiny, Ella, Danika, Noddiah; her four brothers: Ivan, David, Elmer, Edgar; her three sisters: Geraldine, Janet, Serene; and her special friends Mike and Debbie Valenti. Amy is preceded in death by her four husbands: Fred, Carl, Henry, Carlton; her brother Dennis; and her sister Sylvia. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, March 8, 2013 from Noon until 2:00 P.M., at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Allegan, until the Funeral at 2:00 P.M. Pastor Alex Steward will be officiating. A private inurnment will take place at Woodland Cemetery, Reed City, Michigan at a later date.
