age 84, of Allegan, died Monday, November 11, 2013 at Wings Home, Allegan, Michigan. She was born September 17, 1929 in Childress, Texas, the daughter of Virgil and Faye (Forsythe) Lewis. Alta was a dedicated civil servant for Sheppard Air Force Base. She was known for being a very competitive bridge player. Alta was a very strong woman. She loved her family with all her heart. Alta is survived by her son Rick (Vicky) Cochran; her grandchildren: Sarah, Candace, Courtney, Chloe, Amanda, Adam; her great-grandchildren: Autumn, Logan, Carissa, Caydence; and many nieces and nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her son Dennis Parker; her brother Jimmy (Velta) Lewis. Friends may join the family for a Memorial Service at Full Gospel Church, Paw Paw, Michigan, at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 14, 2013. Pastor Chapman will be officiating.
