of Grand Junction, died Friday, April 27, 2012, at his home. Mr. Ellis was born September 28, 1925, in Lawton, the son of Claude and Geraldine (Ritter) Ellis. Al was a Veteran of the United States Army, having served in WWII. He worked for many years with Carl Goodwin and Son's, he was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #7 of Kalamazoo. He also worked at the Palisades Nuclear Facility for 12 years. Surviving are his wife, Ella, 7 children; Marilyn and Bob Peck, Caroline and Gary Joostberns, Onalee and Mike Milbocker, Claude and Shelly Ellis, Gloria and Kim Holden, Sam and Brenda Ellis, Roxie and Dwight Fargo, 20 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Claude, 3 grandchildren; Michael, Chloe, and Lilly. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, April 30, from 11 am till service time at 1 pm, at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Pastor Bill Knapp will officiate. Interment Lee Cemetery, Lee Twp. Memorials may be made to the Wings of Hope Hospice.
