Allegan Twp., MI, died Monday, March 2, 2009 at the Stanford Lodge in Plainwell. Mrs. Meiser was born October 20, 1920 in Groton, VT, the daughter of Thomas and Maude (Whipple) Andrus. She was a 1941 graduate of Allegan High School and had served in the U.S. Army during WWII for 2 years. She received her Masters Degree from Western MI University and taught school in the Niles, MI area for more than 15 years. Surviving are 1 brother and 1 sister and their spouses, Jim and Della Andrus of Allegan and Elgie and John Gerry of California; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken, and 4 sisters and 2 brothers, Maree, Leva, Charlotte, Florence, Tom and Charles. Friends may meet with the family from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. Mr. Bob Thomas officiating.
