Alice D. Kampe, 76 of Allegan, died Sunday, January 12, 2003 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mrs. Kampe was born June 30, 1926 in Jonesville, MI the daughter of Kenneth and Viola (Alderdyer) Dunham. She had started both the Portage and Oshtemo Public Libraries and was a dedicated Girl Scout Leader in the Glowing Ember Chapter. Surviving are two daughters, Jane Casey of Brockville, Ontario, and Mary & Jon Benson of Allegan, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Helen Gurney of Battle Creek, and Louise Schoonmaker of Toledo, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in 1985. There will be no visitation or services at this time. A private family service will be held in the summer.
