Alger "Al" Moeller, Allegan, died Saturday, October 23, 2004 at his home. Mr. Moeller was born April 13, 1937 in Bad Axe, Michigan, the son of George & Celia (Ingnash) Moeller. He graduated from Kinde North Huron High School Class of 1956. He worked for many years as a machinist for the former Active Industries in Elkton, he left there to get his teaching degree at Ferris State, where he graduated in 1974. He went to teach at Delton Kellogg for more than 11 years in their machine shop. In 1987, he started teaching Machine Tool Technology at the Allegan County ISD, where he retired in 1999. He was a very active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church for more than 17 years. He loved the Lord, enjoyed hunting and most sports, was a member of the Michigan Distance Riders Club, and spent a great deal of time with his horses. Surviving are his wife, Donna; 3 children, Ray & Dott Moeller of Parchment, Melea Hogancamp of Fremont and Angela & Mike DeBolt of Saline; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; his mother, Celia Moeller of Carson City; 2 brothers, Leon & Audry Moeller of Nevada and Maurice & Cathy Moeller of Indiana; 3 sisters, Sonja Wojno of St. Clair Shores, Alice & Rich Yaroch of Port Austin and Joan Zwolinski of Carson City; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may meet with the family on Monday from 6-8 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am., at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Allegan. Pastors Dean Beckwith and Michael Anton will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Church Building Fund.
