Wemus, Alfred Hoover Sr., of Allegan, died Sunday, May 22, 2011, at Ely Manor in Allegan. Mr. Wemus was born November 15, 1928, in Allegan, the son of Charlie and Carrie (Olstrander) Wemus. Al retired from the Allegan County Road Commission. He was a great friend, dad, grandpa, he was loved, and will be missed. Surviving are his 5 children; Janice Fairfield of Ludington, Karen Wemus-Lovell and her husband Marty of Allegan, Alfred Wemus Jr. of Plainwell, Barb Schell, and David Van Order both of Allegan, 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, 1 brother, Ron and Ann Wemus of Plainwell, 1 sister, Mary and Ed Tourangeau of Otsego, several nieces, nephews and cousins, and a wonderful friend, Ann Peterson of IL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen, 3 brothers, John, Ray, and David, sister, Marie, 2 grandchildren; Doug and Angela, 1 great granddaughter, Taylor. Friends may meet with the family on Friday, June 3, 2011 from 2-6 pm at 3487 Babylon Rd., Allegan, for a time of sharing, laughing, crying.
