Obituary

Allegan, MI, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at the Allegan General Hospital. Mr. Linville was born December 15, 1916 in Martinsville, MO, the son of George and Clara (Glenn) Linville. He had lived in the Allegan area since 1985 and attended the Harvest Christian Fellowship Church. He married Kathryn Glenn on June 24, 1943, who preceded him in death. He worked at various kinds of construction most of his life and built some of the first buildings in Vail, CO, when it first became a ski area. Surviving are 4 children and their spouses, Clifford and Dodie Linville of North Carolina, Kay Bothwell of Kersey, CO, Thomas and Christine Linville of Evans, CO and Alfred and Betsy Linville of Allegan, MI; 15 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; 34 great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Art Bothwell; sister, Dorothy; 2 brothers, Jack and Jim. Friends may meet with the family from 4 p.m. Saturday until time of funeral service at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, www.gordenfuneral.com. Pastor John DeLetto officiating. Interment will be in Evans Cemetery, Evans, Colorado, Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at 2 p.m. Pastor David Meek officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn St., Allegan, MI 49010.
