Obituary

On May 9th, 2005 Albert R. Keel, a kind and loving gentleman, passed away in Dinuba, California. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Rose and daughter Katherine. Albert was born to Agnes and Vern Keel in 1914 in Detroit and graduated from Flint Central High School in 1933. He was a tool and die maker for many years with the Parker-Hannifin Corporation. A lifelong resident of Monterey Township, he took great pride in the sweet cherries and other fruit that he grew on his centennial farm. Albert enjoyed his family and friends, baseball, a good cigar and a glass of port, the stock market and vintage autos. He was fond of animals and over the years provided a home for many. His quick wit brightened all of our lives. He was the beloved father of Heather Nusbaum of Atherton, CA, Beverly Keel-Worrell of Dinuba, CA and Janice Keel of Allegan, grandfather of David Nusbaum, Maya Nusbaum, Garrett Keel-Worrell, Alana Logan and Nevin Cooper-Keel, father-in-law of Michael Nusbaum and Gary Worrell of CA, great grandfather, uncle of many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed. Friends and family are invited to visitation, Friday, May 13th from 6 to 9 pm at Gorden Funeral Residence, 528 Trowbridge St., Allegan. Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 14th at The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 101 N. Walnut St., Allegan. Interment to follow at Poplar Hill Cemetery in Monterey. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Humane Society.
