Sebring, FL, formerly of Allegan, MI, died Monday, August 6, 2007 at Life Care Center of Plainwell. Mrs. Tanner was born August 3, 1918 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Solomon and Bertha (Knapp) Mohney. She had been a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church for more than 20 years and had been employed at Allegan General Hospital for 2 years, Sears for 13 years and the City of Allegan for 17 years. Surviving are 4 children, Barb Bouton-Goldberg and Phil Goldberg of New Jersey, Janet and Victor Zajac of Richland, Dennis Heister of Plainwell and Fay Tanner of Leonard; 4 grandchildren; several cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, granddaughter, Laurie Bouton and 3 brothers. Friends may meet with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
