Fennville, MI, died Friday, May 2, 2008 at his home. Bob was born Feb. 27, 1953 in Allegan, the son of William, Sr. and Ruth (Hending) Heckman. He was a graduate of Allegan High School, class of 1972. He had been employed at Rockwell for 15 years and at Perrigo for 17 years, retiring from there Feb. 29, 2008. He loved music and playing the drums. Surviving are his wife, Pamela (Pratt), whom he married June 26, 1999 in Saugatuck; 2 children, Monica Heckman of Texas and Corrt and Kayleigh Heckman of Kentwood; 4 stepchildren, Andrea and John Schaefer and Amybeth and Forrest Ellena, all of California, Rachel Pratt of Saugatuck and Anthony Goodrich of Fennville; 7 grandchildren; 3 brothers, William Jr. and Sharon Heckman of Allegan, Fred and Cheryl Heckman of Parchment and Dan and Mary Jo Heckman of Plainwell; 2 sisters, Sally and Ted McLaughlin and Sandra Farrer, all of Allegan. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may meet with the family from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Pastor Paul Hays officiating.
