Mary Lou (Vote) Trimm

Mary Lou Trimm, 74, of Allegan, MI passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2017 at her home. Born August 21, 1942 in Kalamazoo, MI, she was the daughter of the late George Allen and Mildred Louise (Armstrong) Vote. On July 21, 1962 she married Richard Earl Trimm. They enjoyed 30 years of marriage before his passing on July 28, 1992. Mrs. Trimm had fond childhood memories of camping and fishing with her parents and relatives up north and to Drummond Island. After she retired, she would look forward to road trips with her cousin, Nancy Vote. Mrs. Trimm was an avid reader and enjoyed stopping at garage sales, hunting for a bargain or a unique find. She was raised on a farm and loved animals her entire life. Her beloved dog, KC, and her "Black Cat" were like her children and she took great joy in spoiling them. Above all else, however, Mrs. Trimm loved her family. She is survived by five children, Ronald Trimm, Raymond Trimm, Laura (Jerry) Francisco, Lisa (Mike) Green and Miranda Trimm; four grandchildren, Bobby TerMeer, Daniel Francisco, Jordin Trimm and Alex Trimm; and two step-grandchildren, Michael Green and Isaac Green. Mrs. Trimm also had three brothers, George Thompson, Ernest Thompson and Lloyd Thompson; and three sisters, Virginia Lindsey, Marlene Craven and Violet Thompson. A graveside service for family and friends will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Mallory Cemetery. Pastor G. Patrick White will officiate.
