Johnnie Myron Stroud, 77, of Allegan, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 at his home. Johnnie was born in Wayne, Michigan on July 12, 1940, the son of the late Harry and Harriett (Belt) Stroud. He loved basketball and in his younger days he played for Allegan High School where he held the free-throw record for a number of years. He spent his career as a crane operator and took great pride in his work. He was member of the Operator Engineers Union Local 324. Johnnie was a wonderful father and step-father and cherished his family. His loving and caring nature has left a mark on each of them. Johnnie is survived by his wife of 23 years, Claudia; six children, Michael Stroud (Taiko), Jimmy Stroud (Rachael), Diane Stroud, Tork Fulton (Donna), Chad Fulton (Christina), and Shannon Gifford (Corey); 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In keeping with Johnnie's wishes, no services will be held.
