Obituary

Letha Mae Krcatovich, 89, of Allegan, MI passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at Wings Home with her family at her side. Born December 9, 1930 in Logan, OH, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Golda “Marie” (Pargeon) Sanders. Letha graduated from Allegan High School as a member of the class of 1948. She married Michael Krcatovich in 1954 and shared sixty-four years together prior to his death in 2018. In addition to helping on the family farm, Letha worked at Hopkins High School for over twenty years.

She was a dedicated, longtime member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, where she was the organist for almost 50 years, a member of the Catholic Council of Women and the St. Vincent de Paul Society/Good Samaritan.

Letha was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying all sports, but particularly baseball. She was a loyal fan of the Detroit Tigers, Lions, and Pistons.

She was a talented musician playing for numerous Masses, weddings, and funerals. She loved singing the Star Spangled Banner before high school basketball games and happy birthday to the members of her senior bowling league.

In addition to her husband and parents, Letha was preceded in death by her siblings, Jeanette (Stanley) Peterson, Eileen “June” (Robert) Graves, Kathryn (Arthur) Traxler, Robert (Sherry) Sanders, and her sister-in-law, Patricia Sanders.

Letha is survived by her children, Mike (Joanne) Krcatovich, Linnette (Tim) Krcatovich, Janet (Scott) Storey, Linda Krcatovich, Lisa (Kevin) Sheaffer, Tony Krcatovich and Matt (Mindy) Krcatovich; one brother, Raymond “Sonny” Sanders,; sixteen grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; eleven step-great grandchildren, and her beloved cat, Miss Kitty.

Please except our deepest condolences on the passing of your mom. Letha was one of the sweetest and most kind hearted ladies we were privileged to be neighbors with. We only just heard of her going home to join your sweet dad. Troy and I send love and prayers to all of you but know you are all comforted that they are together again in the arms of our precious Lord and Savior.
