Obituary

On July 9, 2020, Edward Bernard Clark Jr., 77, born September 1, 1942 in Allegan Hospital, went to his resting place in heaven. Preceding Edward in death are his parents, Edward Clark Sr., mother, Phyllis Page Clark, nephew Daniel Walters, ex-wife and friend, Susan Harrison Clark.

Edward was born and raised in Allegan, graduated Allegan High School, and shortly after joined the army. While serving Edward starting writing one of his bunky's pen-pals. This was Edwards future wife Susan Harrison Clark from England (deceased 2009). They moved back to Allegan where they got married and had four surviving children, Dean VanBragt, Curtis Clark with Pam Clark, Elizabeth Clark and Sophia Clark. Also surviving Edward, sister, Joyce Clark Walters and husband Ed; eight grandchildren, Bradley Gilbert, Amanda Jabori, Anna Clark, Destiny, Sierra and Taelen Mckenzie, Brionna Harper and Jocelyn Evink; and two nieces, Sue Walters Trump with Michael and Deb Walters Doty with Greg.

Edward enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandkids, which with his humor would often crack jokes with. Edward also enjoyed gathering with close friends, many of which were family to him (Greg, Dave, John, Bob). He loved old car shows, flea markets, playing guitar and the harmonica. Lastly, Edward very much loved his companion, friend and travel mate, his dog Baby.

Edward was in Florida at the Lake City VA trying to rehabilitate from a fractured hip and minor health issues when he contracted Corona. Sadly, beloved Edward was not able to keep his strength to defeat it.

Edward Bernard Clark Jr. was one of 120 deaths in Florida on July 9th from COVID19. He was loved and cherished by many and will be greatly missed. This man was NOT just another daily death toll statistic!

There will be a graveside service at Millgrove Cemetery on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 11:00 AM. Luncheon to follow for family and friends at the Allegan American Legion Post 89. Address is 632 Eastern Ave. Allegan MI 49010, the luncheon will be from 1pm - 6pm

May the God of Comfort, Jehovah God, be with you during this time of sorrow. Please remember the Scripture at John 5:28, 29 which reads: "28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out." Until that time may Jehovah bless all your efforts that are in line with his will. Tyrone & Carolyn Wallace
