Obituary

Debra Jo Hicks, 67 of Allegan, passed away Friday, January 24, 2020 at her home. Born January 14, 1953, she was the daughter of late Howard and Frances (Michaels) Crisman. Debra was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Allegan and enjoyed her church family. She loved the outdoors and looked forward to going to yard sales. She took pleasure in having company over and visiting with people. One of her favorite things to do was to dine out. Debra had a big heart and truly loved her dog and her family. Spending time with them meant the world to her and her presence in their lives will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her three children, LouAnn Jennings, Rodney (Liza) Jennings and Sarah Jennings; her siblings, Terry Crisman, Carol (Harry) Rutherford, Sharon Collins, Roxanne (Russ) Veldkamp, Nancy Crisman, and George Crisman; four grandchildren, Tosha, Tarra, Kayden and Kayla; and one great-grandson, Reign. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings, Dorene Crisman, Donna Crisman, Charlie Crisman, Herbert Crisman, and Emory (Stubby) Crisman, and Andy Crisman.

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at which time the funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Lindsley Cemetery, Cheshire Township.

Debra was a beautiful woman she cared and loved everyone around her and she would do anything she could to help you out, a stranger and a new friend. She would always do the impossible just to show she cares a very kind hearted woman I will never forget. She would make you laugh even when you're sad or upset she was always a happy woman glad to have her family and friends love you Debra you will be truly missed by all of us. My heart goes out to you all losing this beautiful woman and her presence will be in all of us as we share what she taught us
