Obituary

Curt L. Noecker, 77, of Wayland, MI passed away Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Ascension Borgess-Pipp Hospital in Plainwell. Born November 6, 1942 in South Bend, IN, he was the son of the late Norbert and Victoria Ann (Paxson) Noecker. Curt was a 1965 graduate of Western Michigan University earning a BS in art with a minor concentration in psychology. He was the owner of Noecker Pines Christmas Tree Farm which had employed many in the Dorr area over its’ years of operation. He was also a talented photographer. Curt enjoyed spending time at the beach and loved steak and crab leg dinners. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles. Above all else, Curt was a loving father and grandfather and a devoted friend to many. He was always willing to extend a hand to anyone in need and would give his own shirt to keep another warm.

Curt is survived by his daughters, Kristen Stein, Erin Noecker and Meghan Noecker; son, Paul Noecker; brother, Jon “Hugo” Noecker; sister, Judy Ulery; and five grandsons, Ian Stein, Cameron Stein, Oarie Knapp, Kaleb Knapp and Chase Knapp.

Private memorial services will take place at a later date. Inurnment will take place in Mallory Cemetery, Trowbridge Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions to assist with Meghan Noecker’s ongoing medical expenses are suggested. Donations may be made in care of Erin Noecker, 528 Trowbridge Street, Allegan, MI 49010.
