June 24, 1942 – March 30, 2024
Darlene Joy (Harris) Davis, a beacon of unconditional love and joy, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2024, at the age of 81. Born on June 24, 1942, to the late Erwin and Lena (Olds) Harris, Darlene's life was characterized by the love she held for her family and the beauty she cultivated in the world around her.
A cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Darlene’s warmth and nurturing spirit were her gifts to those who knew her. She is survived by her devoted husband, Crawford Michael Davis, with whom she shared a lifetime of treasured memories. Her legacy continues through her beloved children, Michael (and his wife Clara) Davis, Matthew Davis, and Amber Davis, who will forever hold her in their hearts. Her brother Barry (and his wife Jane) Harris will remember Darlene's joyful spirit and the familial bonds they shared. She was an adored grandmother to Haley and Dominick Rupe, who will miss her encouragement and loving presence.
Renowned for being a great mom, Darlene's passion extended beyond her family to the beauty of her flower garden. Her love for gardening was a testament to her ability to create and nurture life, bringing color and vibrancy to her home and community. Her green thumb was symbolic of her approach to life—patient, attentive, and filled with wonder for growth in all its forms.
If one were to describe Darlene, the first word that would come to mind is "loving." This simple, yet profound word encapsulates her essence—a woman whose heart knew no bounds, and whose kindness touched all. With her passing, Darlene leaves behind a legacy of love—a gentle reminder for us to cherish the simple moments, family bonds, and natural beauty that surround us.
As we bid farewell to Darlene Joy (Harris) Davis, we celebrate the life of a woman whose luminous spirit will continue to guide and inspire us for generations to come. Her memory will be eternally cherished, and her love forever felt.
