of Allegan, died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Spectrum Butterworth in Grand Rapids, surrounded by his family. Bobber was born August 17, 1936 in Grand Rapids, the son of Milo and Margaret (Bieber) Bartz. He graduated from Allegan High School in 1954. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea and Okinawa. He was a lifetime member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, member of the Knights of Columbus, and the V.F.W. Post 3667. He worked for over 32 years for Perrigo, and owned and operated Bobber Sports Center with his sons for 10 years. He loved his family, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, watching Allegan Sports, and traveling to casinos. Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Anne Marie (Havaich), 4 children; Christine and David Genther of Grandville, Michael and Lorie Bartz of Otsego, Deborah and William Hazelbach of Caledonia, and David and Laura Bartz of Allegan, 10 grandchildren; Katie, Thomas, McKensie, Samantha, Lia, Emily, Jason, Hannah, Lucas and Rachel, 2 sisters; Jean Haas of Holland, and Pat Lane of Allegan, his sister-in-law, Kathleen and Ivan Kibby of Allegan, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, March 27, from 3-6 pm at the Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, where the Rosary will be recited at 3 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11 am at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Rev Fr. Alan P. Jorgensen, Celebrant. Interment at the Church Cemetery, Allegan.
